00:17:26pipeline should reopen within days, diesel prices in the
00:17:30US have
00:17:31hit an all-time record
00:17:33high and the reports
00:17:36carmas. Saudi Arabias crime prince held talks with the Egyptian president in
00:17:40Cairo, Muhammad bin Salaman and Abdel Fatih have
00:17:44called for freedom of navigation through the Hurmus and Babap
00:17:48straights. It comes with growing concern about a wider regional
00:17:51conflict, although that's been downplayed by the US ambassador to
00:17:55Israel. I don't think it's quite that bad. What we
00:17:59do have is a for sure skirmish between
00:18:02Saudi Arabia and Yemen, but it is not really gone across
00:18:06the region.
00:18:07and uh it's largely because the hoodies and the Saudies are not getting
00:18:11along right now, but it hasn't uh spilled
00:18:15over to the rest the Gulf, and that's the good news. right now, the
00:18:19US and the hoodies still have a cease fire, it's been in place now for year and a
00:18:23half, that's a good thing.

00:18:54administration where traditional allies are often

00:19:01friends seem to come along who are completely
00:19:04unexpected, and it is quite extraordinary. you consider
00:19:08that as we just heard year and a half ago the Americans
00:19:12were bombing the hooties and the hootes are
00:19:15designated terror organization as far as the US is
00:19:19concerned, but here we are a situation where
00:19:23they're talking about sease fars, they're talking about
00:19:25negotiations, direct contacts with those
00:19:29hooties uh, because of course the US does not want to open up
00:19:33second military front in the region given all the problem
00:19:37problems it's having with the Iran conflict, which it thought it would
00:19:41be over and done with by now, the US
00:19:45simply w militarily it's got the strength, but that even the
00:19:49military would be stretched, but the economic consequences,
00:19:53the political consequences here in the United States
00:19:56would be unpalatable, so the
00:19:59hooties are in favor a
00:20:03sense, and the Saudis are suffering

00:20:08is a traditional ally uh they asked Donald Trump
00:20:11twice at the weekend apparently the crown prince asked Donald
00:20:15Trump

00:21:56narrative, well the United States has time and again

00:22:08that that is not the case and mines still exist in the straight

00:24:35position, and that is that the two countries are not engaged

00:25:58mediator, Iraq in the past in some instances
00:26:02has exchanged messages between Iran and the United States, so probably Iran
00:26:06is not looking for new mediator, but
00:26:10it wants to get economic support from
