00:03:45claims is almost unreal. Experts also advise to approach
00:03:49photos showing paradise beaches and luxurious hotel
00:03:52interiors with great caution. Very often we get
00:03:56carried away by beautiful photos that are in the offer.
00:04:00For example, we fly at a different time, during the
00:04:03monsoon season, when it rains, there are strong
00:04:06winds, for example, closed beaches. Very often tourists do not
00:04:10take this into account and are disappointed, believing that their holiday
00:04:13has been wasted. Data from the Office of Competition
00:04:16and Consumer Protection indicate that, compared to last year, we are filing
00:04:20more and more complaints related to our holidays. In the first
00:04:23half of last year, over 1500 complaints
00:04:27were registered, and over 2000 in the seven months of this year. Most often we complain about poor
00:04:30hotel standards, poor sanitary conditions, the presence of insects
00:04:34or low quality of food. Often we also lack
00:04:38the promised sea view, and the infrastructure such as spa,
00:04:41aquapark or bars is not available despite promises.
00:04:44The distance from the beach is often greater
00:04:48than declared in the offer. For our
00:04:52holiday to be a dream holiday, it is worth checking when choosing an offer
00:04:56how old our hotel is and when it was renovated. This can be
00:05:00the first clue as to the quality of the pool, spa or room
00:05:04and how effective the air conditioning will be.
00:05:06Let's read the terms of the contract very carefully.
00:05:10If we care about at least a view,
00:05:13a view of the ocean, that this phrase, this sentence, is clearly

00:06:23usual, the devil is in the details. It turns out that tourists
00:06:27can effectively complain about, for example, services whose quality is
00:06:31not, after all, written into the contract. I know an example of an accepted
00:06:34complaint in the case of a tour guide who, although
00:06:38was substantively prepared to perform their function, but during
00:06:42the entire trip allowed themselves to make inappropriate
00:06:45comments towards the participants of the entire
00:06:48trip. The participants
00:06:51came together and jointly filed a complaint. How
00:06:54to properly estimate our loss? Experts advise
00:06:58to use the so-called Frankfurt Table. This is not
00:07:01an official document, but a certain compilation that
00:07:05was created based on rulings of German
00:07:07courts. It also greatly helps Polish consumers in
00:07:11pursuing claims. This Frankfurt Table clearly
00:07:15indicates by what percentage discount, i.e.
00:07:18refund of the trip costs, we can claim for individual
00:07:21elements. Details of the valuations given in the Frankfurt Table
00:07:25can be found on the website of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. For
00:07:28example, up to 5% refund
00:07:31for dirty dishes or dirty cutlery, or up to
00:07:3420% for no pool in the hotel.

00:08:44that law for caring for the client. If our
00:08:48travel agency operates in the Polish market, after returning from vacation, complaints can
00:08:51be directed to the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.

00:10:44and we have been experiencing this essentially since the beginning of these
00:10:48European energy problems, which we have been noting for four
00:10:51years, that it was worth investing here. After all, the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline, which
00:10:55smoothly came online when the Russians halted gas supplies
00:10:58to Poland, is supplied with gas precisely from this
00:11:02region, precisely from Norway. This is very important
00:11:06that we remember what the geographical
00:11:09orientation of raw material supplies to Poland looks like now.
00:11:13And as for the Baltic Pipe, what is its
00:11:17transmission capacity? That is, essentially everything
00:11:20that Orlen
00:11:23together with its partners, because it has different stakes in different
00:11:26projects, but it is able to extract, also in
00:11:29the future, through this pipe, colloquially speaking, we are able to
00:11:32deliver it to Poland, to Europe? The annual capacity of the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline
00:11:36is 10 billion cubic meters, of which Orlen has reserved
00:11:40about 8 billion cubic meters, half of which
00:11:43it satisfies with its own deposits, so even
00:11:46if gas extraction were to increase, there is still some room
00:11:50that can be used to send this Norwegian gas
00:11:53extracted by Orlen. Of course, this depends on market
00:11:57conditions, on how the local market and trade in this
00:12:00raw material will shape up. However, it can be said that
00:12:03thanks to investments in Norway, thanks to
00:12:07our presence here, we are satisfying a significant part of our
00:12:11gas needs. One could say through our own extraction
00:12:14and transmission chain, because we have
00:12:17extraction capabilities on the Norwegian shelf and infrastructure for
00:12:21gas transmission. We receive it and in the future, right...
00:12:25we will similarly re-export it to other
00:12:28Central European countries, because a gas hub is being built
00:12:31in Poland. And as for this direction, Norway and
00:12:35the North Sea or the Barents Sea,
00:12:38is it true that one can essentially focus 100% here
00:12:41and secure 100% of energy needs, in terms of
00:12:45raw materials, mainly natural gas. Of course, we must be
00:12:48adjusted to transmission capabilities, because
00:12:52Norway can export LNG, it can export
00:12:55pipeline gas to Europe, but these capabilities are somewhat
00:12:59limited, and it is also worth drawing conclusions from
00:13:02Poland's previous energy policy, meaning geographical
00:13:05diversification is also important. One should not focus
00:13:09excessively on one direction, because history
00:13:12shows that if there were any disruptions for various reasons
00:13:16at one supplier, then one could
00:13:19be left with a problem. Just two more words about
00:13:23this project, because it is also very interesting in many respects,
00:13:26right?
00:13:28It is said that it is a symbol of the 21st
00:13:32century in terms of extraction and power supply and
00:13:35control, it is a kind of breakthrough when
00:13:39it comes to exactly this type of technology. Here in Stord it is said
00:13:42that what is being built behind us is so-called state of the art, it is
00:13:46the culmination of technological development when it comes to
00:13:49the construction of such facilities as drilling platforms. The one behind
00:13:52us, which is the main form for the
00:13:56Igdrasil field, will be very limited in terms
00:13:59of crew, meaning typically several hundred people
00:14:02work on such platforms, sometimes even half a thousand, so these are like
00:14:06floating cities, while here only 40 will work because
00:14:10the crew will be limited by moving, for example,
00:14:14the field management center to land, which will connect
00:14:18with the platforms via a fiber optic cable, and thanks
00:14:21to this, from the land, it will be possible to control
00:14:25extraction. This is a novelty, it is a kind of innovation
00:14:29in the extraction process, which completely changes,
00:14:33let's say, the necessity of building infrastructure on
00:14:35the platform, its economy, if we talk about, for example,
00:14:39food and so on, and so forth, it is also
00:14:42an architecturally or engineer-wise very
00:14:45extensive project, and another interesting fact, the entire thing will be
00:14:49powered mostly by green energy, generally speaking,
00:14:53when it comes to power supply.
00:14:57via an electrical cable from Norway, which at this
00:15:01moment is 95% powered by renewable
00:15:04sources, mainly hydropower, so this also
00:15:07affects the so-called energy
00:15:11management of these projects. From the point of view of Kowalski's
00:15:14contract, one might ask whether Orlen's
00:15:17operations in Norway
00:15:21make us energy independent or in any other
00:15:25way can we, as consumers, benefit from this? Of course, this
00:15:28is also a profitable raw material, it is profitable to
00:15:32extract it here. Norway, thanks to its
00:15:35extraction industry, thanks to the deposits located
00:15:38there, is building its economic potential, but also
00:15:41of course, the entities operating here also benefit from this.
00:15:45However, it is an important element at
00:15:48this moment, second only to the United States, when it comes to our
00:15:51partners in terms of energy
00:15:54raw material supplies, which builds Poland's energy
00:15:57security.
00:16:01Additional insurance for children in school. Some parents might
00:16:04be interested in such a solution. But what
00:16:08does the market offer and is it actually
00:16:09worth it?
00:16:15September 1st is behind us, and expenses related to the new school
00:16:18year. Whoever hasn't bought insurance for a student
00:16:21still has a chance to do so. And although in Poland there
00:16:24is no such obligation, experts advise not
00:16:27to save on the safety of our children. On average, about
00:16:312500 accidents involving children occur annually,
00:16:34and most of these accidents take place
00:16:38in schools, which is why it's worth considering
00:16:41having financial security for even minor bodily injuries,
00:16:45because about 60% of these accidents are sprains
00:16:49and limb injuries, so that in case these events occur, you have
00:16:53secure finances. According to statistics, over
00:16:5780 accidents involving children occur daily, most often in
00:17:00gymnasiums, sports fields, and school corridors of elementary schools. Over
00:17:0460% of them are fractures and sprains.
00:17:22It is worth using them, but experts advise to check what exactly
00:17:25they offer beforehand. Often, this school insurance has lower sums
00:17:28insured, a smaller scope, because it needs to
00:17:32be tailored to the budget of each
00:17:34parent. that the scope is not
00:17:38sufficient, we can insure the child
00:17:42individually, and in case of an accident, we will receive payment from both
00:17:46sources. If a parent has a limited budget at the beginning of the
00:17:49school year, they can purchase a cheaper version of school
00:17:53insurance, then two or three months
00:17:56later, purchase an additional, higher- variant that will more comprehensively
00:17:59secure their needs and the child's needs.
00:18:03It is important to maintain the continuity of the policy, because
00:18:06school insurance is valid throughout the calendar
00:18:09year, even outside of school. What is important in the contract
00:18:13is the overall sum insured. When an accident
00:18:16occurs, we receive a percentage of that
00:18:19sum. Different companies have
00:18:22different tables, it's worth checking in the table how much we will receive, for example, for
00:18:26a broken arm, for a broken leg, whether it will be a few, several
00:18:29percent, for very serious accidents, it is
00:18:32of course close to 100%. Let's see
00:18:36what support can we expect, for example, in case of a seemingly minor
00:18:40bicycle accident, during which the child
00:18:43broke their thumb and suffered a concussion.
00:18:46Assuming that the total sum insured is
00:18:498000 PLN, the insurer will pay us
00:18:533200 PLN. In the case of
00:18:56a dog bite, with the same sum insured, for a visit
00:18:59to the emergency room we will receive 1500
00:19:02PLN, and for stitching three wounds 2400
00:19:06PLN. If children actively participate in sports,
00:19:09experts advise to consider increasing the total sum
00:19:12insured, because such activity unfortunately carries the risk
00:19:16of more frequent injuries. It is worth remembering that each policy
00:19:19may have so-called exclusions. These are usually
00:19:22exclusions for extreme sports, such as mountain
00:19:26climbing, diving or shooting. However, as a
00:19:30general rule, if a child simply plays sports, goes to a club, plays
00:19:33football in the yard, most insurance companies within
00:19:37their school accident insurance offer
00:19:39also cover these activities. Of course, there is no
00:19:43single list of such exclusions, most often they concern participation
00:19:47in extreme sports or the deterioration of a student's health due to
00:19:50previously diagnosed chronic illnesses.
00:19:53The exclusion also applies to situations where a child is injured
00:19:56while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as well as
00:20:00when they cause an accident while driving, for example, a scooter without
00:20:04a license or riding a scooter without a helmet. We have no
00:20:07chance for compensation, also when the student is injured
00:20:11during a fight, unless we prove so-called self-
00:20:14defense. Always the basis for paying compensation
00:20:18is documentation regarding the child's medical
00:20:22assistance. As you can see, before we sign a policy, we must
00:20:25carefully read all its terms, including those
00:20:28regarding civil liability, or OC. This is
00:20:32particularly important, for example, for students of technical schools
00:20:35or vocational school students, where additionally this clause covers
00:20:39events that could occur if, for example,
00:20:43during school practical training an accident occurs and property
00:20:46or the health of
00:20:50another person is damaged. In connection with the growing problem
00:20:53of online hate in schools for years, insurance
00:20:56companies also offer appropriate policies. Such
00:21:00insurance typically offers IT support to
00:21:04remove harmful content from the network, and on the other
00:21:07hand, psychological support for the child and
00:21:10family to cope with this very difficult situation. Insurance
00:21:14can also cover the costs of potential legal advice or
00:21:17securing appropriate documentation. Is there
00:21:20an optimal policy? Of course
00:21:23not, because considering the large number of potential threats, it is difficult
00:21:27to create a universal insurance. Its terms and
00:21:30price will depend on the child's age, interests, type
00:21:34of education, and many other factors. The highest variants
00:21:37of insurance, and here the sums insured are above
00:21:41100,000 PLN,
00:21:44it is about 40 PLN per month, so we must remember
00:21:47that we are talking about the sum insured.
00:21:56In case of any disputes with the insurer, problems with the
00:21:59amount of compensation or its payment, we can ask for
00:22:03help in negotiations from the Financial Ombudsman's
00:22:05office.

00:24:47think that governments should impose such.

00:25:34objection.
00:25:36People assume that this money will be used, for example, to keep
